The Basilica of Santa Maria in Aracoeli stands on the Campidoglio hill, on the site where the Temple of Giunone Moneta once stood, the first mint of Rome.
Arriving in Rome by train, you reach Roma Termini Station located in Piazza dei Cinquecento right in front of the Baths of Diocletian from which the station derives its name.
From here you have to take the ATAC bus to get to the Ara Coeli. There are bus stops and ticket offices right outside the station.
